Managed vs. Un-managed Support
Managed Support is available on select ZipServers hosting plans. Non-customers can also enjoy ZipServers unparalleled Managed Support now as a stand alone plan.

ZipServers Dedicated Servers (Legacy Series has option for a reduced rate to forego managed support) and shared accounts come with full Managed Support. VPS accounts have the option of un-managed or managed for cost effective solutions. Expert users can choose unmanaged and save money each month.

Un-managed Servers
Un-managed Servers are the customers responsibility. ZipServers will be responsible for managing hardware, network and reboots that you may require. Cusomer is responsible for all installing software, security, updating the OS and software, and day-to-day management.

Fully Managed Servers
ZipServers will handle OS and control panel hardening on delivery. ZipServers will also monitor you VPS via PING and respond if PING failures are received. Additional TCP monitoring is available for $4.95/mo. Root access is still available to customer should they wish to handle management tasks.  ZipSafe™ Automated Backups
Shared and VPS packages are all backed up by our automated script called ZipSafe™. These backups are made as a precaution for our Shared and VPS customers.

However, we highly recommend you still take local backups once per week or month at the very least to ensure your most recent data can be restored in the event you need to restore.
 Server / Web App Uptime Monitor
Basic PING monitoring is included on all Shared, VPS, and Dedicated hosting plans. If you would like the ability to monitor additional TCP applications and Web Apps, our $4.95/mo Web Monitoring package is perfect.
